Notes of interest - Office Bearers.
We currently have notes of interest interest from the following people in taking up positions as office bearers.
Elaine McSpadden -
”My name is Elaine McSpadden and have a daughter who attends the school and is currently in 4th year. I have worked in Social Work for over 34 years and currently work as a Residential Worker in a Children’s House. I believe I could fulfil the post given my wealth experience in Social Work which includes multi agency working, so have links with various children’s services in the area.”
Kirsty Walker -
”My name is Kirsty and I have a daughter in the LCSC unit (3rd year) and have been part of Brannock PTA since my daughter started in first year. I am an older parent with older children and grandchildren and 28 years of being involved in PTA’s, 5 years being chair, at my daughters primary school. I feel the LCSC needs a parent from LCSC to represent and fully understand the challenges it brings with an additional needs child as at present we don’t, and also being a parent out-with catchment can be very daunting when you know no-one so I can empathise on both fronts. I am a carer for my husband and my daughter who both have complex needs so I think this helps me to think out of the box, hoping to never to judge, and helps to be compassionate and approachable. I have been involved and coordinated many school events over the years as well as helping in the schools. I have been part of various fundraising committees and charities out-with school, for example citizens’ advice/furnish projects and help many with forms and points of contact especially for help with additional support needs. I feel I could bring something different to the committee.”
We have, as always, a very full agenda, so we may not get through it all, but we will try!
We look forward to hearing from you!
